  3. This is going to be an event at a very appropriate time: May Sts Francis and Clare intercede with us for peace in the world.

On Sunday, June 16th, the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in Washington, DC, will host an interreligious gathering to raise awareness about the “Spirit of Assisi 2011” and inaugurate ten days of prayer for peace. The gathering will be convened by the Archdiocese of Washington and the InterFaith Council of Metropolitan Washington. Cardinal Donald Wuerl has accepted an invitation to prsent the message.

  16. On October 27th, in Karachi, our friar Fr. Pascal Robert and Archbishop in Collaboration with KARACHI PRESS CLUB organized a similar prayer service in which leaders of different religions and were invited, while a big number of people participated.

To celebrate the Spirit of Assisi here at Bright Doves (Kampala-Uganda), we joined together with St. Francis choir in a colorful Carol service (Franciscan) held on 23rd Oct 2011 at Holy Trinity church. It was a success as we hosted the President National Fraternity (SFO) – Br. Vincent Kiiza and the Vice President St. Maximilian Kolbe Fraternity – Kamwokya Mrs. Nsababera Alice.
    The day was also graced by the other different choirs of the Sub Parish i.e. St. Mary’s and St. Cecilia (Bafumbira Community choir) who joined us as we paid homage to our Mother the Blessed Virgin Mary in the month of the Rosary.
