We are glad we have the materials now . Effectively we have the terms of reference in engaging people of other religions on what we can do together here in Kenya. Our arrangements can now take shape.

Thank you very much!
Very delighted to learn more about the “Spirit of Assisi” through these materials. As Inter-Faith and inter-Ethnic promoters, there is a lot to pick that can strength our work in peace dialogue through DPI which has a strong arm in this transforming spirituality.
Peace and all good always!

I am excited to celebrate this great moment in the history of Catholic Church. The day of prayer will definitely open up avenues for all of us to work for the peace in the present troubled and broken world. I am stroming heavens for the success of this great celebration. Thank you for the material. Just one correction. In the Franciscan Prayer the Reading is NOT from Rom 9,15-21 BUT from Rom 12,14-21/
Peace to you

I have just learnt of the forthcoming celebrations and I shall most certainly bring it to the attention of our Fraternity meeting on 2nd October and suggest we, collectively and individually, participate in prayer on the day.
I hope and pray that there will be worldwide attention and support for this peacefull get togethering. I ask all my friends and acquaintances worldwide as a sign of support and joy to light a candle on 27 October 2011!
[…] Here is some information provided by the franciscan hosts (my emphasis): Building on this celebration, John Paul II made popular the idea of the Spirit of Assisi, a concept which has inspired many efforts to promote peace and dialogue over the last quarter century. […]
On October 27th, in Karachi, our friar Fr. Pascal Robert and Archbishop in Collaboration with KARACHI PRESS CLUB organized a similar prayer service in which leaders of different religions and were invited, while a big number of people participated.
To celebrate the Spirit of Assisi here at Bright Doves (Kampala-Uganda), we joined together with St. Francis choir in a colorful Carol service (Franciscan) held on 23rd Oct 2011 at Holy Trinity church. It was a success as we hosted the President National Fraternity (SFO) – Br. Vincent Kiiza and the Vice President St. Maximilian Kolbe Fraternity – Kamwokya Mrs. Nsababera Alice.
The day was also graced by the other different choirs of the Sub Parish i.e. St. Mary’s and St. Cecilia (Bafumbira Community choir) who joined us as we paid homage to our Mother the Blessed Virgin Mary in the month of the Rosary.
Looking forward to receiving the materials for this very significant anniversary! THANK YOU, Kathy, osf

This is going to be an event at a very appropriate time: May Sts Francis and Clare intercede with us for peace in the world.
